Frequently asked questions.
Do Quartz countertops stain or scratch?
Quartz countertops are resistant to stains and are also scratch resistant, however they are not indestructible. You can damage your countertops with abuse, however normal use in the kitchen or bathrooms should not scratch it or harm it in anyway.
Is Quartz resistant to heat?
Quartz is not as heat resistant as granite. Resin is used during construction of Quartz countertops which makes it vulnerable to direct heat from hot pans directly from the oven. Trivets and hot pads should always be used.
Will I need a seam in my kitchen?
Whether or not your countertops will need a seam completely depends on the size of your kitchen and the layout. All quartz and granite come in slabs, and those sizes depending on brand will vary. The most common maximum slab length for quartz is 125” L x 62” W. Natural stone slabs can come in many different sizes depending on the specific material, and will be discussed upon material being chosen. This means if your quartz countertops will be longer than 125” in length your quartz countertops will have to be seamed. We use the latest in seaming techniques, in fabrication and installation to ensure you have the best possible outcome.
